The Forum Transregionale Studien (Forum) in Berlin is a nationwide platform for cross-border cooperation between scientists with different expertise and perspectives on global issues. It offers scope for exchange on questions of science policy, epistemology and science ethics, and develops infrastructures and formats that allow transregional research ideas and projects to be explored, implemented and communicated. The Forum is committed to strengthening regional studies and the principle of non-hierarchical research. It appoints scholars from all over the world as fellows and engages in joint research programs and initiatives with partners from universities and research institutions in and outside of Berlin and is funded by the Senate Department for Higher Education and Research, Health, Long-Term Care and Gender Equality of the State of Berlin. Members of the Forum are university and non-university research institutions from Berlin and other parts of Germany, including several BR50 members.
